Introductory Inspiration

The painter before his canvas, the hiker on the mountain path, the musician in the midst of his improvisation

– in these moments, there is no ego that perceives itself as separate from the action. There is no ‘I am painting right now’, but only the act of painting itself. There is no ‘I am hiking’, only the act of hiking. And, paradoxically, these are precisely the moments of greatest presence, greatest alertness, greatest vitality. 😇

What is happening here?

The ego, the ‘calculator’, is temporarily switched off – and nothing is missing. On the contrary: the action becomes more precise, more fluid, more effortless. Every athlete knows this: as soon as you start thinking about the movement, it becomes clumsy. As soon as the ego comes into play, the FLOW stalls, physical and mental discomfort sets in, and the suffering – SUPPOSEDLY with no way out – simply goes on and on…🤯

In The Secret of the Golden Flower, it is written:

“At first, one practises the reversal of the light for a quarter of an hour a day. Then for half an hour. Then for an hour. Eventually, the light is always reversed, even whilst one eats and drinks, walks and stands, speaks and remains silent. The spirit always dwells in the Crystal Palace, and the body moves beneath it like a shadow following the light. This is the state of the true human being who dwells in the Dao.”

Everything I have taught over more than 20 years on Master’s programmes and in executive education courses at leading universities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is linked to this TRUE phenomenon:

Quantum entanglement cannot be explained; it transcends rational and causal thinking, as well as medical knowledge. Nevertheless, we make use of it today because it works; according to our rational thinking, nothing in the world can be faster than light, but that is not entirely correct, as we can see here.
